In later years the Christian right demanded that the GOP support a War on Drugs, an anti abortion stance, an anti ERA stance, and an anti gay stance....that goes on to this day. They demanded school vouchers for religious schools and suggested that those who supported environmental law were secretly 'nature worshipers' aligned with the religion of Wicca and witchcraft. By the 1980 the right wing radio broadcasters, a construct of the Reagan administrations ending of the 'Fairness Doctrine' were fully on the side of the religious right adding their voices to the that of the right wing religious broadcasters Today over large parts of this country that's the only talk radio there is. Then there's FOX...another propaganda outlet staffed by an massive number of right wing commentators...all of them 'christian right' friendly. By the 1990's the Christian foot soldiers, formerly privates and corporals had advance in the GOP to being colonels and generals and that's where it stands today. Added to the current mix of course are the teabaggers who are dominated by wealthy industrial figures AND various personalities associated with the Christian Right....Palin and Backmann being the leading figures. Salvaged title on a Supra?

Iam 15, almost 16 and I posted one earlier this week about buying one used, for like ten grand. But then the people reminded me how much work and saving up I'd do in just one year. So instead of saving up a ton of money, why not buy a salvaged title? My parents are willing to match me dollar for dollar. I did some looking around, and I found a 98 Supra for 6,000 close to where I live. Now I know salvaged titles are usually wrecks, or theft. But I have a friend who is willing to do the body work for virtually free!So if I did save up, are there any ups or downs about this? Like insurance, warranty, etc. Let me know! the other answer is not correct. It MAY NOT boot, but then again it may boot. The issues is if the drivers are there for your laptop. The problem is if it died on her laptop, it is still going to be dead on yours. the operating system is not on your computer, its on the hard drive that you are going to take out of your computer. Yes the USB enclosure is a good idea, but if the hard drive is damaged it will not be good in a usb either. try the usb. If you decided to try it in your laptop, first turn everything off and let it sit for a while to take all the charge out of the system. that means take out your battery then let it sit. then put in the hard drive and see if it boots. if it does, you might be able to get something onto a usb, but don't expect it to work, it may not. Then after you are done, do the same thing again. turn it off, take out the battery and wait before you put your hard drive back in. It should not change anything. Just don't make any system changes that you don't want to deal with . the hard drive is where EVERYTHING is stored, drivers, OS, everything.

I got talked into trying yoga for the first time the other day. I have a very intense personality and it was suggested that it would help me focus my energy better so I finally tried it. I wasn't expecting what happened at the end though. Laying there after exhausting my body my thoughts we slow, slow enough I realized I could concentrate and focus on them. As I laid there I thought about the signals I was receiving from my body, thoughts about work and school and the future and my ex, and thoughts about how I could focus on my thoughts. What happened next I can only described as profound. Suddenly a gentle gong sounded and gently pulled my consciousness out of this "place" and I realized that I had gone somewhere else. A second gong pulled me a little further and I began to realize I was back in the universe. The third and last one pulled me the rest of the way back and I realized I had a body and was in a building and there was a floor beneath me and air in my lungs and an entire world around me. After coming back I realized I had gone somewhere where existence did not exist. There was nothing but my consciousness. It wasn't like an out of body experience, because in that you are still in the universe. Where I was there was no universe, no matter, no light or dark, nothing but my awareness of myself. Thinking about it when I came back took my breath away, and I don't say that to be corny, when I thought about it I could barely catch my breath. And I felt at peace, and relaxed, and genuinely happy. Nothing like I've ever felt before. Later that night, laying in bed trying to sleep, I thought about that place and for and instantaneous moment I went back there and could feel it. Then I was back in bed. As I said, the only way I describe it closely is profound. Does this normally happen? Will it happen next time? Am I the only one with this experience? It is confusing because I'm not even the type of guy that would even do yoga. But it has seemed to change me.

Motorcycles cigarette lighter keeps blowing fuses in the charger.?

I'm having some difficulties. I hooked up a weather proof 12v to my motorcycle (yamaha r6 2008) I made sure to put a switch in it so I could turn it on and off, but no fuse. The charger that I put in it has a 1.5amp fuse that comes with it. The charger will work temporarly when I put a new fuse in it but then blows shortly after. There is no short and I took extra care into wiring. I have also put a multimeter on the batter and the 12v both which are putting out the correct voltage and amps. I'm going to put a new switch in it to make sure its not the switch . But I would think that if it was the switch it world be instantaneous blowing of the fuse. Multimeter reader were 12.64ish and amps 6mamps. I have a feeling that its the alternate causing it because its once the bike has been on for a bit, so of you all concur then where do I wire into?

in the past few days some electrical power in 3 areas (with different circuit breakers but sit next each other) have gone out and later come back on their own. 22" Murry, Briggs and straton push lawn mower?

Okay i just went to a salvage yard for mowers basicly and got a really old murry 22" with a old B&S motor. I checked the gas and oil there and put it on choke and after 3 pulls it started up and ran beautifully. I bought it, loaded it up took it home and tried to mow. (keep in mind this is a max of fifteen min from the time i started it and the time i got it home) I went to start it and nothing, pulled about 5 more times and let it sit just in case i flooded it. i went back out after about 15 min and pulled another 5 times, this time adjusting the gas from choke down to full and back. now i am here asking what is wrong with this mower. i just got it started at the yard and now it does not even want to fire. please help, its getting dark and i really need to mow my yard. My husband and I bought a salvage semi-truck (18-wheeler) trailer (box) to use it as storage in our property. Your absolutely right. It seems we live in an age where fine arts are being neglected by people in general. I love classical music and going to the orchestra. I'm also a piano teacher. One thing that may be a factor is the bad state of the economy. Many people just don't have the extra funds to go to see orchestra concerts. Also, I think people today have less sophisticated taste in music than they did even 20-50 years ago. Sad to say many would rather go see that stupid Bieber kid than listen to real music from an orchestra. In some cities there are volunteer orchestras and free concerts. So, that may be an option for some people. I live in Houston and thankfully we have pretty good support for the symphony and fine arts in our city. Along with that we have two major universities that form an enclave for support in classical music and the arts. Such as the University of Houston Moores school of music and the Rice University music department. I think the only thing we can do is try to help people be more aware of the joy and glory of classical music and the symphony. I remember being in fourth grade and I went to a Christian school and my teacher showed us a video of how the sun formed and she told us not to be fooled and we should all know God created the light. I was wondering if my landlord can raise my rent after we had a major flood (Minot, ND). We have a big oil boom going on and people cannot find housing so they are charging outrageous prices for places to rent (ex: 1bd apt for $2,500). Is there a law against price gouging for rent after a flood, because so many people are already looking for housing (due to the oil boom) and now there will be more since their homes flooded.

I was just given a 1987 Buick Riviera in good running condition because it was declared a salvage vehicle by the insurance company. Apparently, replacing the the grille, hood and some other connector parts was more expensive than totaling the car and paying a check for fair retail value. The person who gave it to me has 2 other vehicles, so he didn't need it anymore anyway. But finding the parts for this car has been a nightmare! I was told that the 1986-1989 Riviera are all the same body style, but then discovered AFTER I bought a used 1989 grille on-line that the 1989 body was somewhat different than the 1986-1988 version. The part hasn't been delivered yet, so I don't know whether I should keep looking. I've looked at some pictures, but can't tell whether the grille between a 1987 and a 1989 is different. Does anyone know?

Can my ipod be saved?

Last week I was caught in a storm and my ipod touch got a little wet under the screen. It still played songs and the touch screen responded so I thought I got off lucky. The battery was low anyway and while I let it dry out the battery died. I couldn't see if there was any water left under the screen so I tried charging it. It was on charge for about an hour and responding well then it died. I guess there may have been water in the ipod still. I put the ipod back into a box of rice and left it for 4days. I tried plugging it back into the charger this morning and after 10mins itunes opened and my laptop recognised the ipod there. However my ipod is still dead (just a black screen) and although itunes can recognise its there it cant connect to the ipod. Do you think it will come back if I leave it on charge or do you think when I charged it initially I messed up the battery or hardware? I guess I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether its likely to be salvaged or if its ipod funeral time? Also I'm not great with technology, if its likely to be a battery issue are those things able to be replaced?

i have a 69 Chevy nova. i have just redone the front and rear drum brakes. but I'm thinking this on a hypothetical sense / maybe hope to do this. But would it be possible to go to a salvage yard and find a vehicle with front and rear disk breaks, just taking the whole backing plate. the whole assembly (all 4 of them). Then the master cylinder, distribution block, and power brake booster. Then mounting that backing plate to my nova (not sure how to do that but i'm sure there is a way). running the brake lines to the new distribution block and master cylinder. what are your thoughts.
