Has he changed his mind? i am getting mixed signals?

My boyfriend and i broke up over a week ago, where he said we cant contact each other anymore, he doesnt want to be wit me and that was his decision for the time being. however, he sent me a text yesterday saying how much he thinks im an amazing girl and i deserve the world and to enjoy my trip over seas and he wants to see me when i get back (mind you, i dont leave for another 3 MONTHS) he then has arranged for me to go and see him tomorrow. im really confused, because he has said so many different things in the space of a week. i want to salvage things with us, does he?
