Does anyone live or know about South Virginia?

I need help I might be moving there. I need to know how it is. Is there any jobs? How is the economy? Is it racist? I need to know around Buena Vista, Va. I got a scholarship to Southern Virginia University, I also would like to know about that University. Thanks!
